about fidelity dalian
pan＞established in 2007, fil technology (dalian) limited was the fidelity’s first wholly owned enterprise in china. the dalian office initially served as a systems development centre to bolster fidelity’s growing business in the asia pacific region, with a primary focus on providing technology and web-based support and services. the office has continued to expand in recent years and now acts as the central service hub for the asia pacific region supporting multiple business functions including systems development and support, systems infrastructure support, retail operations, finance accounting services and investment administration & fund accounting.
vestment services & fund accounting technology(isfa) provides systems development, implementation and application support to middle office and back office for our investment management business. some of the key business functions we support are trade settlement, pricing, reconciliation, fund positions, escrow and fund accounting.
fa has highly business critical applications which need quick response time and timely resolution. the applications use multiple stacks of technologies and are hosted on variety of platforms.
purpose of your role
the successful candidate would be expected to assist in development of critical japan amo applications with a focus on specific business needs and service oriented approach. the role requires the candidate to be able to do:
application development: develop asset management applications independently. candidate needs to have the ability of understand business requirement document and complete coding, testing and code release to different environments. the candidate also need tofollow fidelity’s development process and deploy code with fidelity’s ci/cd pipeline.
system small enhancement: need to understand business requirement of small enhancement. communicate with business user without development process. take over unit test, sit and support uat test. support production release, create release note and create change management ticket.
legacy system logic analysis and reengineering: need to read the code of legacy systems, and create document according to the logic of the system. rebuild legacy system with new architecture framework.
communication and reporting: regular communication to business and technology stakeholders through emails, phone, chat etc in english language. communicate with application support team.
the candidate will be part of highly dynamic application development team who will be working very closely with their other application development groups in india, tokyo anddalianto provide follow application development services to asset management business. candidate should be enthusiastic to work in highly demanding situation under multiple technologies stacks cutting across multiple business domain.candidate is also required to focus on knowledge sharing amongst fellow team members through various knowledge sharing means such as training sessions, clear and up-to-date documentation available in knowledge sharing repository.

experience and qualifications required
at least 5+ years working experience in it industry.
systems and requirements analysis and design using uml.
ability to map business requirements to processes and technologies, documenting possible improvements and identifying disruptions in the processes.
working experience in oops and multiple programming languages including vba.
well versed in devops toolsets such as source control, build automation, automated testing.
well versed in data structures and design patterns
advanced scripting knowledge.
well versed with database sql queries. should be able to write medium to complex sql queries and query optimization independently. stored procedure programming experience is preferred.
technology experience in batch job development
desirable skills / experience
hands on and working knowledgewith python based development.
informatica or other etl experience is preferred.
experience in capital markets business domain such as fixed income, equities, derivatives, funds management and accounting, pricing, valuations, corporate actions etc.
